After a long hiatus from this series, completion of Fractured ‘Gello #2 brings this series back into the recent arena of completed artworks. Viewers are drawn into the center of this artwork. It is a flowing together of the individual pieces and stitches which reflects the confluence definition of coming together to one place. There is a natural pull, even from a distance, that brings viewers closer to view the minute details.
Constructing the ground and fracturing the piece was the smoothest part of the entire process. Developing the intricate hand stitching design took several years of contemplation with the artwork hanging on my design wall. Finally, the design concept came to life and required almost 600 hours of intense hand stitching.
The back of the artwork shows the incorporated hanging system that just needs the accompanying telescoping rod inserted and it is ready to hang from any gallery system or with just two nails. The rod may be used to rotate the artwork and display the work in a different orientation.
One-of-a-kind original textile artwork signed and dated by the artist. Included with the artwork is a Certificate of Authenticity, Care Instructions, and display slats. Installation simply requires two (2) nails or wall screws.
Artwork is carefully rolled, packed in heavy cardboard container, and shipped directly from the artist’s studio. Available immediately unless on exhibit.
