Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed Textile
20"x 42.25" (51 x 107cm)
$3,300

First textile artwork in the new series started in 2010, Contaminated Water. Note the partial image of a dead floating fish in the top center edge of the artwork. The concentric circles hand stitched into the art work are the swirls made from tossing rocks into the water. This piece is made from the artist’s own custom hand dyed fabrics.

The images of the piece are reflective of the gasoline and oil slicks that can be seen in many waterways where boats are docked. The backing is traditional unbleached muslin and is signed and dated by the textile artist. This art quilt is designed to be hung in either a vertical or horizontal orientation which makes it a very versatile piece to be easily paired with other artwork into a collage type display.
*National award-winning artwork*
One-of-a-kind original textile artwork signed and dated by the artist. Included with the artwork is a Certificate of Authenticity, Care Instructions, and display slats. Installation simply requires two (2) nails or wall screws.
Artwork is carefully rolled, packed in heavy cardboard container, and shipped directly from the artist’s studio. Available immediately unless on exhibit.
