This piece features as its centerpiece, a delicately hand cross stitched image of butterflies and dragonflies flirting in foliage. This is the fourth piece in this series of cross-stitched medallion art quilts.

The Aida cloth center is framed with black fabric and a warm yellow fabric radiates out from the piece in a diamond pattern. The piece is then completed with repeating diagonal frames of light green and then a cream fabric with Oriental writing. The piece is heavily hand quilted and in the final black border with “ghost” butterflies densely echo quilted in varying colors to coordinate with the colors in the center. The piece is intricately hand quilted and hand bound. The backing is traditional unbleached muslin.
