This textile artwork is the third piece in an ongoing series featuring the diamond geometric shape. The artwork is constructed of commercial fabrics from the 1980s with a domestic sewing machine. The shape is the basis for construction of the art quilt as well as the basis for the dense hand stitching which adds both visual and physical texture to the artwork. Third piece in an ongoing series featuring diamond geometric shapes. It is then heavily hand stitched to add visual and physical texture to the piece and to reinforce the diamond design.
